Name :
Brooke Harman

Date of Birth :
18th August 1985

Location :
Orange, California, USA

Brooke’s family moved to Brisbane, Australia when she was three. At 20, Brooke already has an impressive list of film and television credits to her name. She has consistently worked on film and television throughout her teenage years.

It was at nine years of age when she first got her agent through her dance school. Brooke stared out dancing which eventually led to acting. Her first role was when she was 11 for The Wayne Manisfesto on the ABC.

Surprisingly, she did not study drama at high school, having no drama classes the school however was very supportive of her with the bulk of Brooke’s professional roles happening throughout this time.

Her credits during this time include films Pirate Islands, Finding Hope, Misery Guts, Roar, Step Sister From Planet Weird for the Disney channel, Till Human Voices Wake Us, Max Knight Ultra Spy and Flipper.

Television production roles include All Saints, Beastmaster and Home And Away.

More recently, she has appeared in Ned Kelly, The Sleepover Club, Returning Lily/Tempted and television series White Collar Blue and McLeod’s Daughters.
Last year she moved to Melbourne, the first time she had moved away from home, to take up the role of Bree on Secret Life Of Us.

It was after this series she decided to travel to the States to visit family. Whilst there, she was offered the role of Kate Monk on headLand.

Her character Kate has now taken on university life which will open up a new world of people and experiences to her and she will rediscover who she is, and who she wants to be. While everyone around her thinks she can cope with it all she does worry about her responsibilities as a mother, her finances and most of all, her ability to cut it as a student.

“I am so grateful for the role of Kate because I think a lot of people will relate to her and her journey. She is certainly the desperate housewife of headLand. I think she is the voice of a lot of women, real, very switched on and independent.”

She endures real tough times, like when she’s faced with her husband’s infidelity. But she is committed to Will and their child and she is not going to let anyone ruin their lives and what they have together,” she says.

Brooke in her spare times loves going for a run and wants to start up ballet again.
